What’s up ladies and gents? One of the biggest things I’ve always struggled with in life is creating habits that I feel would help me grow into a better, stronger and wiser person! There are numerous things that, if I consistently did, I feel would help me grow in all aspects and areas of life.unnamedIn researching habits and how to form new ones I discovered an app in the Android marketplace called Loop – Habit Tracker. It’s completely free and I receive nothing for recommending it, it’s seriously just the app I found that is working really well for me!There seems to be a consensus among experts that it takes 21 days to break or create a habit. Just like with anything, you can find plenty of people that disagree with this statement, however, most people seem to accept 21 days.Whether the exact number is 21 days doesn’t matter! Maybe for you it takes 30 or even 45 days before it “sticks” and becomes a seemingly natural part of your daily routine. That is the goal that is more important. Doing it long enough that it becomes a habit and “sticks.”habitsThat’s where the app Loop – Habit Tracker becomes helpful. The app allows you to setup different habits that you want to track as you can see in the image to the right and then you simply place a check mark next to the habit each day you complete it.This gives you a list you can open on your phone daily to help act as a reminder to the habits you are trying to get to stick.Maybe, as in the image to the right, you decide you want to start waking up at a certain time everyday. You can add this to your list and track it.Not only does the app allow you to place a check mark next to each task as you complete it each day, but if you click on an individual task it will give you additional stats and options.Screenshot_20160824-101624For example, you can set it to give you a daily reminder/alarm on your phone for certain tasks or see a monthly history of how well you’ve been keeping up with the task. You can see an example of this in the picture to the left.Creating new habits that are good for you can be extremely tough and seem impossible to stick with on a daily basis. An app like this on a device that you already have with you every day seems like a godsend to me!I’ve been personally using it for about a month now and have been successful in doing yoga daily as well as daily meditation and jogging. In fact, it has worked so well for me that I’ve now added a couple more habits that I’m trying to complete for the next 21 days like getting up at 4:30 A.M. every day! It’s free, it’s open source and it may just help you actually develop some great habits in your life for once! What could be better than that?
